Water and Sanitation Minister Nomvula Mokonyane renders her keynote address, she advices the community on how to save water, tells them that many rural areas now have easy access to clean water and dignified sanitation and aims to provide 100% water to people all over south Africa. She states that clean water prevents disease such as cholera and many more and pleads with the community not to connect water illegally as it is meant for everyone.

Executive Mayor of Joe Gqabi Municipality Cllr Zibonele Dumzela said they had a meeting session where they decided to have a water strategic plan and Orange River Micro Scheme will be used to provide them with water for their daily needs.
